Bella Coola Raven

This carved mask was to be worn on the head of the dancer at potlatches and makes a loud clacking sound. It made a very strong presense in the sacred ceremony. Metis artist James Leslie studied inder master carvers Tony Hunt Jr. & Sr. on Vancouver Island.
