Description: 33"x9"x12", spruce
gall carving, carved and painted and signed with his name and
number 93610. Captured and detained
in a German prison camp for four years ('41-'45) this Canadian
sailor began to carve roots and sticks with a butter knife while
in carceration. The Art of Nova Scotia Art purchased most of
his caved canes for their permanent collection. Ray passed away in 2003.
