Self-taught Ojibway artist Don Ningewance has the gift of capturing the ancient legends of the Lac Suel Ojibwa people in his art. His nature and legend paintings are magical, vibrant, and detailed.
Don grew up on Lac Suel in Northern Ontario. His paintings are
renowned for their use of color, light, and texture. In 1992, Ningewance
was
commissioned by the Bradford Exchange to create a series of six
plates featuring the image of wolves. He was also commissioned by Ducks Unlimited to do
a limited edition print of waterfowl.
The popularity of his work continues to grow among collectors.
Don has won numerous regional awards and had a Show at The Art Gallery
of Thunder Bay.
