Nova Scotia Mi'kmaq artist Alan Syliboy is one of the hot new native artists on the Art Scene. His multicolored art often using ancient Mi'kmaq petroglyphs with spiritualism to produce very powerful and exciting art. In 1999 Alan designed The $200 Butterfly Gold Coin for The Royal Canadian Mint. He was also awarded The Queen's Golden Jubilee Medal and honoured by the Canadian Government in 2002 for his contribution to The Art World.
