Ransford Naugler's art is part of the personal collection of The
Governor General of Canada and many pieces are in the Canadian
Museum of Civilization. He began
carving and painting in 1988 after a number of labourer jobs. He and his two
artist brothers Leo and Bradford were featured in the award winning National
Film Board documentary Folk Art Found Me. Humour and heart comes through his
carvings of birds and fish. His paintings depict farm life
near the ocean. Very refreshing work.
