Charles MacDonald Manly was born in Surrey, England in 1855 and emigrated to Toronto in 1876. This painter and graphic artist taught at the ONTARIO COLLEGE OF ART in Toronto. His work is represented in the NATIONAL GALLERY OF CANADA.
